Winter is one of our favorite times of year here in the Rocky Mountains. With pristine snow covering the beautiful landscape and a wide variety of outdoor activities for the entire family, we’re sure you’ll love it as much as we do.
This year, why not make the most of the winter season and come to the 2019 Estes Park Winter Festival?
Held over MLK Day weekend (January 19–20) at the new Estes Park Events Complex, the festival features live music, shopping from a variety of local retailers and stunning ice sculptures, as well as abundant tastes of Colorado wines, spirits and craft beers. Come hungry, because there will be not one, but two chili cookoffs! Saturday is the red chili cookoff, and Sunday is the green and white chili cookoff.
The 2019 Estes Park Winter Festival takes place at the same time as one of our favorite opportunities to get outdoors and enjoy the snow. On Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Winter Trails Day will offer demo snowshoes for both kids and adults, advice from snowshoe experts and outdoor gear displays. If you’ve never tried snowshoeing before, now is the time! After your snowshoe jaunt, come by the festival for chili and beer.
A variety of ticketing options are available. Kids 12 and under get in for just $5. Adults pay either $15 or $30, depending on whether they want to taste local beer, wine and whiskey.
After a great day out at the 2019 Estes Park Winter Festival, there’s no better place to cozy up and rest than the nearby Misty Mountain Lodge. Book your stay today!
