Looking for some Halloween fun? Don’t miss Halloween in downtown Estes Park, Colorado! There will be spooktacular events that the whole family will love!
Trick or Treat
Trick or treating is a major event in Estes Park! On Halloween night from 5:00 pm-9:00 pm, our main street, Elkhorn Avenue, is closed to traffic so kids, adults and pets can come and trick or treat at the shops. The houses in the Estes valley are spread out on mountainsides, so this is a great way to bring together locals and visitors alike. All of the stores in town create unique Halloween window displays. At the main intersection there will be a spooky dance performance and a haunted ambulance to explore!
If you like haunted houses, Estes has one of the most famous haunted house in the country! We are home to the Stanley Hotel, the place that inspired Stephen King to write his famous novel The Shining. The Stanley Hotel is one of the top ten haunted hotels in the United States! They hold all kinds of spooky events, from Murder Mystery dinners to the Shining Ball. They also host a legendary Masquerade Party, which will take place this year on Saturday, October 28 from 8:00 pm to 12:00 am. This frightful night will feature live music, dancing, drinks, hors d’oeuvres and imaginative Halloween costumes
