41st Annual Longs Peak Scottish/ Irish Highland Festival
If you’re in town, check out the largest Scottish Irish Festival in the U.S! This festival begins on September 7th and ends on September 10th. There will be over 50 events taking place, such as a jousting competition, nightly concerts, pipe bands, Irish dancers, clan exhibitions, parade of bands, 5K race, golf tournament and more! At this fun annual event, from Saturday, September 30 to Sunday, October 1st, you can celebrate and learn all about elk! There will be Native American storytellers and dancers, bugling contests, educational exhibits, elk seminars, Native American music, a children’s’ area with elk-themed activities and a craft beer garden.
To kick start the festival, you can attend the Rut Run 5K at 9 am. This run will help ignite your senses and appreciation for nature as you race on a scenic path of fall colors, beautiful views and possible elk encounters, from a safe distance of course!
